Services for Gladys Mae Stephenson Alsbury Stringer of Wessonare 10 a.m., Saturday, May 4, at Wesson Baptist Church with burialin Wesson City Cemetery.

Visitation is today from 5-8 p.m. at Harrigill Funeral Home andSaturday from 9-10 a.m. at the church.

Mrs. Stringer, 91, died May 2, 2002, at her residence. She wasborn in Little Rock, Ark., on July 23, 1910, to Robert Stephensonand Jimmie J. Worthington Stephenson.

She was a retired school teacher. She was a member of thePeripatetic Club, American Legion Auxiliary, and BrookhavenCamellia Society, and was past president of Wesson Garden Club andpast chairman of Copiah County Heart Association. She was a memberof Wesson Baptist Church, where she had taught Sunday school andwas a member of WMU.

Preceding her in death were her parents; and her husband,William Earl Stringer.

Survivors are her son, Robert Alsbury; her grandchildren, DayleAlsbury, Drew Alsbury, and Lauren Alsbury; and fivegreat-grandchildren.
