Services for Ora Lee Swanigan of Brookhaven are 11 a.m.,Saturday, May 18, at St. James M. B. Church with burial inGreenwood Church Cemetery.
Visitation is Friday from noon until 5 p.m. at Tyler FuneralHome.
Mrs. Swanigan, 99, died May 12, 2002, at King’s DaughtersMedical Center. She was born in Lincoln County on May 1, 1903, toGreen Thompson and Amie Jacobs Thompson.
She was a resident at Countrybrook Living Center. She was amember of the Eastern Star. She was a member of St. James M. B.Church.
Preceding her in death were her parents; her husband, VanSwanigan; and eight sisters and one brother.
Survivors are her nieces, Myrtis Richardson of Bogue Chitto,Bessie Quinn of Brookhaven, Nita Bell McClair of New Orleans, andRuby May of Gadsden, Ala.; and her nephews, T. C. Clay of Jackson,Sammy May of New Orleans, Frank Quinn of South Holland, Ill., andJ. C. May of Milwaukee, Wis.
