Services for Lois Elaine Allen of Brookhaven are 2 p.m.,Saturday, May 25, at Macedonia Baptist Church with burial in thechurch cemetery.

Visitation is today from 4-9 p.m. at Brookhaven FuneralHome.

Mrs. Allen, 73, died May 23, 2002, at her residence. She wasborn in Brookhaven on July 7, 1928, to Virgil Smith and Amy CoreneSmith.

She was a homemaker and worked in department store sales. Shewas a member of Macedonia Baptist Church, where she was churchprayer coordinator, taught Sunday school, and was a member of Womenon Missions.

Preceding her in death were her parents; her husband, MartellAllen; her brother, James Smith; and her grandson, Nick Newell.

Survivors are her son, Daniel Martell Allen of Brookhaven; herdaughters, Linda Sue McCullough and Jeanene Newell, both ofBrookhaven; her brother, Harold Smith of California; her sisters,Ruby Ballard of Brookhaven and Mildred Cupit of Liberty; and fivegrandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
