Services for James Harlton Granger Sr. of Hazlehurst are 3 p.m.Friday, June 7, at Shady Grove Baptist Church in Hazlehurst withburial in Bethel Baptist Church Cemetery.
Mr. Granger, 67, died Wednesday, June 5, 2002, at St. DominicMemorial Hospital in Jackson. He was born in Copiah County.
He was a cattleman and businessman who will be long rememberedfor his active role with Family Fish House in Hazlehurst. He was amember of Poplar Springs Baptist Church. He attended Old UnionSchool.
Preceding him in death was his daughter, Jeanette GrangerRice.
Survivors are his wife, Shirley Roberts Granger; son, JamesHarlton “Tex” Granger Jr., all of Hazlehurst; daughters, TammyAllen, Lynette Smith and Dana Chandler of Hazlehurst and TeresaFerguson of Crystal Springs; mother, Rosie McKenzie of Hazlehurst;brothers, John Granger and Stanley Granger of Hazlehurst andWilliam “G-Man” Granger of Venice, La.; 10 grandchildren; and onegreat-grandchild.
