FCA plans July 26 scramble

The Copiah/Lincoln Adult Chapter of the Fellowship of ChristianAthletes will host a scramble golf tournament on Friday, July 26,at the Brookhaven Country Club. Proceeds from the tournament willbe used to help finance the FCA ministry in District Seven.

Robert Holloway of Brookhaven was named Mississippi’s first FCADistrict Seven Director last summer. His ministry covers a10-county area in southwest Mississippi and includes 53 highschools.

Ernie Clark, FCA tournament chairman, said the 1 p.m. shotgunstart will feature 4-person teams. Entry fee is $100 per person and$400 per team. Hole sponsorships are available.

“We feel good about this tournament,” said Clark. “We shouldhave a good turnout. All proceeds go to support FCA in ourarea.”

Trophies will be presented to the top three teams. An awardsdinner, starting at 6 p.m. at the BCC, will provide golfers with adelicious meal. Numerous door prizes will be presented during thedinner.
