Houriah Brown

Services for Houriah Brown of Garland, Texas, are 11 a.m.Saturday, July 13, at Thayer Church of Christ in Springfield withburial in Bogue Chitto Cemetery.

Visitation is Friday, July 12, from noon to 5 p.m. at R.E. TylerFuneral Home.

Mr. Brown, 76, died July 5, 2002, at his residence in Garland.He was born in Lincoln County on Sept. 24, 1925, to the late Daveand Mary Toliver Brown.

He was a former Church of Christ minister. He was a World War IIveteran of the U.S. Navy.

Preceding him in death were his parents; brother, Louis Brown;and sisters, Elizabeth Dillon and Stella White.

Survivors are his brothers, Roscoe Brown of Inglewood, Calif.,and Ellis Brown of San Francisco; sisters, Josephine Galloway ofBrookhaven and Alberta Robinson of Los Angeles; nephews, Herbert,Stephen, Kenneth, Robert, Arthur and Norman Galloway; and nieces,Doris Galloway and Gwendolyn Galloway.
