Services for Eva Eudora Travis Sykes of Brookhaven are 11 a.m.,Friday, July 19, at Damascus Baptist Church in Franklin County withburial in the church cemetery.

Visitation is Thursday from 5-9 p.m. at Brookhaven FuneralHome.

Mrs. Sykes, 84, died July 17, 2002, at Silver Cross NursingHome. She was born in Franklin County on Dec. 1, 1917, to HiramDunigan and Pernicia McFarland Dunigan.

She was retired as a nurse tech with King’s Daughters Hospitaland was a former employee of Stahl-Urban. She was a member ofDamascus Baptist Church.

Preceding her in death were her parents; and her husbands, AltonTravis and Murray Sykes.

Survivors are her sons, Randolph Travis and Dalton Travis, bothof Brookhaven, and W. H. Travis of Selma, Ala.; her daughter,Sandra Sullivan of Brookhaven; and 12 grandchildren and a host ofgreat-grandchildren.
