Services for J. D. Delaughter of Pascagoula are 11 a.m.,Wednesday, July 31, at Brookhaven Funeral Home Chapel with burialin Fair River Baptist Church Cemetery.

Visitation is Tuesday from 6-9 p.m. at the funeral home.

Mr. Delaughter, 76, died July 28, 2002, at his residence. He wasborn in Brookhaven on Oct. 20, 1925, to Jessie Delaughter andBennie Thames Delaughter.

He was a self-employed crane operator. He was a member of Local624 Operator Engineer Union. He was a member of the Baptist faith.He was a Navy veteran of WWII.

Preceding him in death were his son, J. D. Delaughter Jr.; hisparents; three brothers; and one sister.

Survivors are his children, Jimmy Delaughter, Diane Rodgers,Billy Delaughter, Kathy Betham, Renee Ashcraft, and VickyAlexander, all of Moss Point, and Doris Martin of Pascagoula; hisbrother, Cecil Delaughter of Clayton, La.; and 20 grandchildren and22 great-grandchildren.
