Services for Michael Chapman of Brookhaven, and formerly ofCentreville, are 2 p.m., Saturday, Aug. 17, at New Hope BaptistChurch in Gloster with burial in the church cemetery. AndersonFuneral Home in Gloster is in charge of arrangements.
Mr. Chapman, 33, died Aug. 12, 2002, at Prentiss. He was born inWilkinson County on June 19, 1969, to Sammie Otkins and ElnoraChapman.
He was an employee of Wal-Mart Distribution Center.
Preceding him in death were his mother; his brother, SteafoneChapman; and his grandparents, Fred and Fannie Chapman and Eugeneand Gertrude Otkins.
Survivors are his daughter, Shantria Crockett of Brookhaven; hisfather, Sammie Otkins of Centreville; his sisters, Linda Murrah andHilda Granger, both of Gloster, Gwendolyn Alexander, Yvonne Parker,Christine Montgomery and Tammie Walker, all of Centreville, andJanet Johnson of Baton Rouge; his brothers, Toney Chapman, RickeyWest, and Kenny West, all of Centreville, and Vincent West of SouthCarolina; his girlfriend, Denise Crockett of Brookhaven; and a hostof other relatives and friends.
