Services for Cecil David Roberts of McComb are 10 a.m., Friday,Aug. 23, at First Baptist Church in McComb with burial in EnonCemetery in Walthall County.

Visitation is today from 5-8 p.m. at Catchings Funeral Home andFriday from 9 a.m. until service time at the church.

Mr. Roberts, 67, died Aug. 20, 2002, at the V. A. Medical Centerin Jackson. He was born in Walthall County on May 19, 1935, toPerry Roberts Sr. and Era Mae Alexander Roberts.

He was an automobile dealer for over 25 years and was co-ownerof Smith-Roberts Motor Company in McComb for over 15 years. He wasa member of First Baptist Church in McComb. He was a former memberof the McComb Rotary Club and the Gideons. He was an Army veteranof the Korean War.

Preceding him in death were his parents; his brother, PerryRoberts Jr.; and his sister, Laverne Dunaway White.

Survivors are his wife of 45 years, Rita Dunn Roberts of McComb;his son, David Roberts of McComb; his daughters, Donna Ard of Ruthand Dianne Roberts of Jackson; his brothers, Tommy L. Roberts ofthe Enon community and Frank Roberts of Jayess; his sisters, LadeneWarbel of Londonville, Ohio, Lorraine O’Quin of the Enon community,Deloris Mott of McComb, and Syble Ashley of Rutherford, Tenn.; andnumerous nieces and nephews and other family members andfriends.

Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Association or theAmerican Diabetes Association.
