Services for Robert Eugene “Gene” Case of Brookhaven are 11a.m., Saturday, Sept. 7, at Brookhaven Funeral Home Chapel withburial in New Salem Church of Christ Cemetery.

Visitation is today from 4-10 p.m. at the funeral home.

Mr. Case, 69, died Sept. 5, 2002, at Silver Cross Nursing Home.He was born in Brookhaven on Nov. 10, 1932, to Marvin Elmer Caseand Inell Anding Case.

He was elected to three terms as constable of Beat 5. He hadworked for Carter Wood Company and as a security guard for GossSecurity Company. He was a member of New Hope Church of Christ.

Preceding him in death were his parents.

Survivors are his wife, Edith Case of Brookhaven; his sons,Marshall Ladell “Dale” Case and Bobby Case, both of Brookhaven; hisstepsons, Donald Golman and Dwayne Golman, both of Brookhaven; hisdaughters, Hilda Ratcliff of Franklin County and Judy Hickman ofBrookhaven; his stepdaughters, Linda Yarbrough of Brookhaven andKay Coley of Union Church; his brothers, Buddy Case, Charles LarryCase, Marell Case, and Desi Lee Case, all of Brookhaven; hissister, Ruth Rushing of Brookhaven; and 21 grandchildren and 18great-grandchildren.
