Graveside services for Joseph A. Desmarais of Kenner, La., are 1p.m., Saturday, Sept. 21, at Rose Hill Cemetery.

Harrigill Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Mr. Desmarais, 82, died Sept. 18, 2002, at Chateau LivingCenter. He was born in New Hampshire on April 26, 1920, to AlbertDesmarais and Rose Anna Labonte Desmarais.

He was a retired telegrapher for the Illinois Central Railroad.He was a member of Faith Baptist Church in New Orleans. He was anArmy veteran of WWII.

Preceding him in death were his parents; and his wife, LorelleLeggett Desmarais.

Survivors are his sister, Gilberte Laliberte of Orlando, Fla.;his nephew, Raymond Prince of Metairie, La.; and his niece, LucilleRobitaille of Manchester, N.H., and numerous other nieces andnephews.

Memorials may be made to a charity of choice.
