Services for Grady Tarver Sr. of Wesson are 3 p.m., Wednesday,Sept. 25, at Clear Branch Baptist Church with burial in ClearBranch Cemetery.
Visitation continues today until 2:30 p.m. at Harrigill FuneralHome.
Mr. Tarver, 84, died Sept. 24, 2002, at King’s Daughters MedicalCenter. He was born in Wesson on March 30, 1918, to John Tarver andLerone Nations Tarver.
He was a former deputy sheriff, constable, and supervisor. Hewas retired from Edward Hines Lumber Company and was a retiredcattleman. He was a Mason in Wesson Lodge #317. He was a member ofClear Branch Baptist Church for 71 years. He was an Army veteran ofWWII.
Preceding him in death were his parents; and his grandchild,Bradley Bowman.
Survivors are his wife, Louella Nettles Tarver of Wesson; hissons, Grady “Butch” Tarver Jr. and Gary Lynn Tarver, both ofBrookhaven; his daughters, Linda Bowman of Wesson and Martha Cloerof Petal; his brother, Hugh Tarver of Wesson; his sister, JewellSmith of Jackson; and seven grandchildren, sevengreat-grandchildren, and four step-grandchildren.
