The Brookhaven Lady Panthers whipped the McComb Lady Tigers 14-3Tuesday night in girls slowpitch softball Division 6-4A action.Mandy Vinson was the winning pitcher.

Powering the Brookhaven girls with a home run and a singleapiece were Ashley Sykes and Samantha Boutwell. Belting foursingles was Megan Bateman. Chuvaquah Smith and Vinson ripped adouble and a single apiece. Tripling was JaRonda Moore.

Kayla Prince singled twice for the Lady Panthers. Kensy Hoff,Cortney Fielder and Brittany Smith hit safely.

In the junior varsity game, Sykes led with a home run. TaylorCrane smashed a triple. Collecting a pair of doubles was KellyVinson. Laura Waldrop and Prince hit two singles apiece. Singlingwere Alisha Irvin, Jana Wallace, Danika Digs, Christy Martin andPorsha Dickey.

Brookhaven’s originally scheduled game Friday with South Pikehas been postponed due to rain. The Lady Panthers visit NatchezMonday for two games. The JV game begins at 6 p.m. followed by thevarsity at 7.
