Services for Charles Alfred Kirkfield of McComb were Sunday,Sept. 29, at Hartman Funeral Home in McComb with burial inHollywood Cemetery in McComb.

Visitation was Saturday at the funeral home.

Mr. Kirkfield, 89, died Sept. 27, 2002 at his residence. He wasborn in Lincoln County on Nov. 12, 1912, to Ed and Addie HuhnKirkfield.

He was a retired ICR and was employed with Carman for over 43years. He was a member of Friendship Baptist Church. He was an avidcoin collector.

Preceding him in death were his parents, his wife, Maude LeeBass Kirkfield; his brother, Carl Kirkfield; his sister, EdnaThomas; and his nephew, Willie Carl Kirkfield.

Survivors are his son and daughter-in-law, the Rev. Charles E.and Carolyn Kirkfield of Gillsburg; his daughter, Nancye Goodwin ofMcComb; four grandchildren and their spouses; Ronnie and MichikoGoodwin, Jim and Cindy Goodwin, Terri and Davis Johnson, and Chadand Jeanette Kirkfield; and six great-grandchildren.

Pallbearers were Ronnie Goodwin, Jim Goodwin, Chad Kirkfield,David Feldman, Jeremy Johnson, and Bert Golman.
