Services for Ruth Carolyn Brooks Hartzog of Silver Creek are 2p.m. Sunday, Sept. 29, at Calvary Baptist Church with burial in thechurch cemetery.

Visitation is Sunday, Sept. 29, from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. at WilsonFuneral Home.

Mrs. Hartzog, 67, died Sept. 27, 2002, at Forrest GeneralHospital. She was born in Ellisville on Sept. 17, 1935, to BerthaBrooks of Ellisville and the late Jesse A. Brooks.

She was a former bank teller with First Bank. She was a memberof Calvary Baptist Church in Silver Creek.

Preceding her in death were her father; husband, Houston H.Hartzog Jr.; and an infant son, Timothy David Hartzog.

Survivors are her mother; sons, Greg Hartzog and Gary Hartzog,both of Silver Creek; daughter, Debbie Hartzog Jones of GreenwellSprings, La.; brothers, Bill Brooks of Mt. Airy, N.C., and WayneBrooks of Lumberton, Texas; sisters, Frances West of Ellisville,Linda Sims of Greenvile, N.C., Brenda Walley of Moss Point andMargaret Sims of Clarksville, Tenn.; and three grandchildren,Kellie Jones Wascom, Hugh Hartzog and Sarah Hartzog.
