Graveside services for Inez Parkman Martin of Harlingen, Texas,were 10 a.m., Monday, Oct. 7, at Rose Hill Cemetery. BrookhavenFuneral Home was in charge of arrangements.

Mrs. Martin, 97, died Sept. 30, 2002. She was born in Brookhavenon Dec. 30, 1904, to Maston Andrew Parkman and Emily Caroline GuessParkman and had lived in the Rio Grande Valley since 1926.

She had sold ladies ready-to-wear in several stores. She beganher career in sales at McGrath’s & Sons in Brookhaven in theearly 1900s. She was a member of the First Methodist Church ofHarlingen.

Preceding her in death were her husbands, Dallas C. Potts andJarret Martin; and her grandchild, Amy Patrice Austin.

Survivors are her daughters, Doris Lister of Harlingen andPatricia Mullen of Clear Lake, Texas; her sister, Irene Pace ofBrookhaven; and three grandchildren and threegreat-grandchildren.
