Services for Ava Irene Watts of Brookhaven were 11 a.m.,Saturday, Oct. 12, at Friendship Baptist Church with burial in thechurch cemetery.

Mrs. Watts, 81, died Oct. 10, 2002, at King’s Daughters MedicalCenter. She was born in Brookhaven on Sept. 24, 1921, to PearlieSmith and Louella Smith.

She was a homemaker. She was a member of Friendship BaptistChurch.

Preceding her in death were her parents; her husband, J. W.Watts; her brother, Hollis Smith; and her sister, Ruthie DunnSmith.

Survivors are her sons and daughter-in-law, Danny and BeverlyWatts of Brookhaven and Eddie Watts of Brookhaven; her sister, RubyLofton of Bogue Chitto; her brother, Hughlon Smith of Baton Rouge;her grandchildren, Randy Watts, Melissa Smith, Dana Alexander, andReggie Watts, all of Brookhaven; her great-grandchildren, MatthewAlexander, Hannah Watts, Cole Watts, Jessica Hart, Devan Smith,Myranda Watts, and Dylan Watts, all of Brookhaven; and a host ofnieces and nephews.
