Services for Elsie Lewis Martin of McComb are 11 a.m. Saturday,Oct. 19, at Hartman Funeral Home in McComb with burial in HollywoodCemetery.

Visitation is Friday, Oct. 18, from 5-8 p.m. and Saturday, Oct.19, from 10 a.m. until service time at the funeral home.

Mrs. Martin, 80, died Oct. 17, 2002, at Hospice Ministries inRidgeland.

She was retired from South Central Bell Telephone Company. Shewas active in St. Andrews United Methodist Church, where she servedas treasurer and pianist for many years. She was a long timedelegate to the Mississippi Methodist Conference and a member ofthe Business and Professional Club, Telephone Pioneers of Americaand the Order of the Eastern Star.

Preceding her in death were her parents, the Rev. James M. andElla Rhodes Lewis; husband, Van B. Martin; brother, Edwin Lewis;and sisters, Patty Ware and Hattie Rae Tingle.

Survivors are her son, Billy Martin of Jackson; brothers, JamesLewis of Brookhaven and the Rev. Floyd Lewis of Madison; twogranddaughters; one great-granddaughter; and several nieces andnephews.
