Jere Bruce Norton, 63, of Brookhaven died Oct. 18, 2002, at hisresidence. He was born in Lincoln County on May 20, 1939, to C.L.Norton and Ruby Griffin Norton. Brookhaven Funeral Home is incharge of arrangements.

He was a retired oil field supply worker. He was a member ofHolly Springs Baptist Church.

Preceding him in death were his parents; his sister, JuanitaSandifer; and his brothers, Carl Norton, Paul Norton, Ralph Nortonand Robert Norton.

Survivors are his wife, Gwendolyn Allen Norton of Brookhaven;his son, Daniel Keith Norton of Denham Springs, La.; his brothers,John Norton of Brookhaven, and Noel Norton of Morgan City, La.; andtwo grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.
