Services for Lessie Loraine Touchstone of Brookhaven are 3 p.m.,Tuesday, Oct. 22, at Macedonia Baptist Church with burial in thechurch cemetery. Brookhaven Funeral Home is in charge ofarrangements.

Mrs. Touchstone, 83, died Oct. 20, 2002, at Countrybrook LivingCenter. She was born in Brookhaven on Sept. 26, 1920, to WalterHenry Carlisle and Susie Ritchie Carlisle. She was a graduate ofFair Oak Springs.

She had worked at Stahl Urban and as a saleslady for Avon.

Preceding her in death were her father; her husband, Robert W.Touchstone; her daughter, Ruby Touchstone Nevels; and her brother,John Carlisle.

Survivors are her daughter, Julie Smith of Jackson; her mother,Susie Ritchie Carlisle of Brookhaven; her brothers, Luther Carlisleof Memphis, Henry Carlisle of Bogue Chitto, Shelby Carlisle ofNatchez, Dolphus Carlisle of Brookhaven, and Bill Carlisle of WayneCounty; her sisters, Julie Bankston, Lois Hodge, and LyndaWilliams, all of Brookhaven; her grandchildren, Penny Kelley ofCovington, La., Noah Smith of New Orleans, and Emily N. Warren ofBrookhaven; and her great-grandchildren, Olivia and William Kelleyof Covington.
