Services for Gerald “Jerry” Crosby of Bogue Chitto are 11 a.m.,Monday, Oct. 28, at Calvary Baptist Church with burial in thechurch cemetery.

Visitation is today from 5-9 p.m., and Monday from 8-10:30 a.m.,at Brookhaven Funeral Home.

Mr. Crosby, 66, died Oct. 25, 2002, at his residence. He wasborn in Lincoln County on Sept. 21, 1936, to Henry Crosby Sr. andMaude Smith Crosby.

He was retired from Illinois Central Railroad, where he hadworked as section foreman, maintenance and machine operator. He wasan air force veteran. He was a member of Calvary BaptistChurch.

Preceding him in death were his parents; his sister, ImmogeneCrosby Falvey; and his brothers, John Wesley Crosby and Henry”Sonny” Crosby Jr.

Survivors are his wife, Mary Lenard Crosby of Bogue Chitto; hisson and daughter-in-law, Ricky and Lisa Crosby of Brookhaven; hisdaughter and son-in-law, Christie and Chris Elkins of Bogue Chitto;his brothers, Lamar Crosby of Brookhaven and Glen “Butch” Crosby ofBogue Chitto; his sisters, Audrey Crosby Wright, Addie CrosbyDixon, Edwina Crosby Allen and Lynn Crosby Reeves, all of BogueChitto; his grandchildren, Matthew, Colton, Lucas and Julianna; anda host of nieces and nephews.
