Services for Lanyeous P. Reeves of Smithdale were 10 a.m.Saturday, Nov. 2, at Brown Funeral Home in Gloster with burial inMt. Pleasant Cemetery in Gloster.

Mr. Reeves, 70, died Oct. 30, 2002, in Franklin County. He wasborn in Amite County on Jan. 22, 1932, to the late George Meltonand Belle Hammack Reeves.

He was a retired purchasing clerk for International PaperCompany in Natchez. He was a member of Mt. Vernon Methodist Church.He was a veteran of the U.S. Air Force.

Preceding him in death were his parents; a brother, R.D. Reeves;and sisters, Helen R. Whittington and Sadie Reeves.

Survivors are his wife of 47 years, Elaine Freeman Reeves ofSmithdale; son, Greg Reeves of Greenville, S.C.; daughter, MelanieReeves Hunter of Lucien; brother, Delano Reeves of Gloster; sister,Georgia R. Whittington; a half-brother; two half-sisters; and twograndchildren.
