Graveside services for Gladys Marie Zapata of Denham Springs,La., are 2 p.m., Monday, Dec. 9, at New Sight Cemetery. WilsonFuneral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Mrs. Zapata, 51, died Dec. 6, 2002, at LSU Lallie Kemp MedicalCenter in Independence, La. She was born in Independence on May 21,1951, to Johnny and Daisy Mae Ballard Clayton.

She was a retired factory worker.

Preceding her in death were her parents.

Survivors are her husband, Domingo Zapata of Denham Springs; herdaughters, Tammy White of Sontag, and Sheila Martin and Sara King,both of Walker, La.; her brothers, Richard Clayton of Port Allen,La., and Harry Clayton of Denham Springs; her sisters, RubyBourdreaux and Ruby Inez Avan, both of Walker; and eightgrandchildren.
