Mrs. Thompson, 59, died Dec. 10, 2002, at North Shore RegionalMedical Center in Slidell, La. She was born in Wesson on May 6,1943, to Shelby Yates and Flonnie Williams Yates Turnbo.

She was a homemaker. She was a member of the Baptist faith.

Preceding her in death was her father.

Survivors are her mother, Flonnie Y. Turnbo of Wesson; herhusband, Charles E. Thompson of Poplarville; her sons, Robert”Bobby” Thompson of Gulfport, and William J. “Billy” Thompson ofPoplarville; her daughter, Nicole Thompson of Poplarville; hersister, Helen Mason of Wesson; and her grandchildren, Jessica LorinThompson, Skyler Wayne Thompson, Tiffany Nicole Thompson and ColinJace Thompson.
