Services for Willie Terrell Smith of Brookhaven are 3 p.m.,Friday, Jan. 10, at New Prospect Baptist Church with burial in thechurch cemetery.

Visitation is Thursday from 5-8 p.m. at Brookhaven FuneralHome.

Mr. Smith, 70, died Jan. 7, 2003, at his residence.

He was a retired Gy/Sgt. in the U. S. Marine Corps, havingserved in Japan, Okinawa, the Philippines, Lebanon, Cuba, PuertoRico and the Midway Islands. After retiring from the military, hewas employed with Piedmont Hospital in Atlanta. He returned toBrookhaven in 1989. He was a member of New Prospect BaptistChurch.

Preceding him in death were his parents, Bart Smith and Allie S.Smith; his brother, Robert Vernon Smith; and his grandson, WilliamT. Smith Jr.

Survivors are his wife of 51 years, Sue M. Smith; his daughterand son-in-law, Catherine and Bill McNeace of Atlanta; his sons anddaughters-in-law, William and Deborah Smith, David and Janet Smith,and Scott and Kathy Marie Smith, all of Brookhaven; hisgrandchildren, Brittany and Marshall Smith, Matthew and DanielSmith, and Levi Smith, all of Brookhaven; and several nieces andnephews in Anchorage, Alaska.
