Services for James Spruill of Brookhaven are 2 p.m., Saturday,Jan. 11, at Brookhaven Funeral Home with burial in RiverwoodMemorial Park Cemetery. Services will be conducted by the Rev.Steve Young.

Visitation is Friday from 5-9 p.m., at the funeral home.

Mr. Spruill, 72, died Jan. 8, 2003, at King’s Daughters MedicalCenter. He was born in Sweatman on June 25, 1930, to James WilliamSpruill and Lou Caffey Spruill.

He was retired from Mississippi State Tax Commission. He was amember of the Methodist faith.

Preceding him in death were his parents.

Survivors are his wife, Jane Broadway Spruill of Brookhaven; hissons, James Spruill Jr., of Jackson, Jerry Spruill of Florence, andJackie Spruill of Wiggins; his daughters, Janice Young of Sandhill,and Judy Hillis of Pensacola, Fla.; his sister, Elizabeth Smith ofPlant City, Fla.; and eight grandchildren.

Pallbearers will be Casey Young, Tyler Spruill, Jimmy Spruill,Joey Spruill, Patrick Vowell and Misty Vowell.
