Services for Edward Earl Whittington of Brookhaven are 11 a.m.,Thursday, Jan. 23, at Brown Funeral Home Chapel in Gloster withburial in Jacobs Cemetery near Liberty.

Visitation is Wednesday from 6-9 p.m. and Thursday from 9-11a.m. at the funeral home.

Mr. Whittington, 60, died Jan. 19, 2003, at King’s DaughtersMedical Center. He was born in Amite County on Dec. 15, 1942, toSammie L. and Georgia Reeves Whittington.

He was a retired dryer finisher for Georgia Pacific Plywood inGloster. He was a member of the Baptist faith.

Preceding him in death was his father.

Survivors are his mother, Georgia R. Whittington of Liberty; hisbrother, Roger Whittington of Smithdale; and two nieces, twogreat-nieces and two great-nephews.
