Services for Lucretia Gaston McArthur of Brookhaven are 2 p.m.,Friday, Jan. 24, at Mt. Wade Missionary Baptist Church with burialin Carver Heights Cemetery.

Visitation is today from noon-7 p.m., with family hour from 7-8p.m., at Williams Mortuary.

Mrs. McArthur, 88, died Jan. 18, 2003, at Hospice Ministries inJackson. She was born in Lincoln County on March 31, 1914, to WillGaston and Katie Gaston.

She was a homemaker. She was a member of Mt. Wade MissionaryBaptist Church.

Preceding her in death were his parents; her husband, JeffersonMcArthur; her brothers, Thomas Cain, Minyon Gaston and J.W. Gaston;and two sisters, Janie Mae Kelly and Lula Mae Banks.

Survivors are her son and daughter-in-law, Dr. Willie and MableMcArthur of Fayette; her daughter, Addie Lee Durr of Brookhaven;her sisters, Louvenia Jackson of Fayette, and Geraldine McLaurin ofJackson; her sister-in-law, Annie Mae Gaston of Ellicott City,Maryland; and eight grandchildren; and 14 great-grandchildren; andmany nieces, nephews and other relatives.
