Services for Ben Joe Porter of Bogue Chitto are 3 p.m.,Thursday, Feb. 6, at Brookhaven Funeral Home Chapel with burial inConcord Baptist Church.

Visitation is today from 5-10 p.m., at the funeral home.

Mr. Porter, 65, died Feb. 4, 2003, at his residence. He was bornin Smithdale on July 14, 1937, to Lawrence Porter and BerniceHerring Porter.

He was retired from Homelite, and Dickerson and Bowen. He was amember of Gum Grove Baptist Church.

Preceding him in death were his father; a brother, John Porter;and a sister, Juliette Westbrook.

Survivors are his mother, Bernice Porter of Bogue Chitto; hisbrothers, George Porter of Bogue Chitto, and Daniel Porter ofBrookhaven; his sister, Rachel Etienne of New Orleans; and numerousnieces and nephews.
