Services for Roland Cupit of Brookhaven are 2 p.m., Friday, Feb.14, at Friendship Baptist Church with burial in the churchcemetery. Services will be conducted by the Revs. Wiley Reid, KevinThompson and Talmadge Smith.
Visitation is today from 5-10 p.m., and Friday from 10 a.m.until 1:30 p.m., at the funeral home.
Mr. Cupit, 72, died Feb., 12, 2003, at Mississippi BaptistHospital. He was born in Quentin to Volney Cupit and Audrey VaughnCupit.
He was a retired production foreman for Total. He was a memberof Friendship Baptist Church.
Preceding him in death were his parents; two sisters, JaniceThompson and Joyce Cupit; and his granddaughter, Elisha Lofton.
Survivors are his wife, Maurice Smith Cupit of Brookhaven; hisson, Mitchell Cupit of San Francisco, Calif.; his daughters andsons-in-law, Deborah Cupit Ezell and Gillis of Summit, and RedonnaCupit Nations and Scott of Hazlehurst; his sisters andbrothers-in-law, Jo Ann and Frank Smith of Brookhaven, and Kathrynand Cordelle Jackson of Haughton, La.; his grandchildren and theirspouses, Jennifer Ezell Foreman and Todd, both of Summit, Jason andCourtney Waters of Germany, and Ryan Ezell of Hattiesburg; and hisgreat-grandchildren, Karly and Tyler Forman, Taylor Lofton, andRegan Waters.
Pallbearers will be Ryan Ezell, Jason Waters, MichaelBessonette, Dale Thompson, Todd Forman, Anthony Thompson, DewayneThompson and Dean Lofton. Honorary pallbearers will be CharlesCupit, Mike Thompson, Julius “Peck” Vaughn, Leland Smith, JamesSmith, Erwin Smith, and Robert Smith Jr.
