Services for Scarlette “Frankie” Louise Blades of Brookhaven are2 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 16, at Harrigill Funeral Home Chapel withburial in Morman Cemetery in the Red Star community.

Visitation is Sunday, Feb. 16, from 8 a.m. until service time atthe funeral home.

Mrs. Blades, 72, died Friday, Feb. 14, 2003, of cancer atMississippi Baptist Medical Center in Jackson. She was born inNatchez on Oct. 30, 1930, to the late Luther L. and Leanne DunawayLambert.

She was a housewife and owner of a grocery store.

Preceding her in death were her parents; two sons, Jonathan”Johnny” McClendon and Robbie Owen; a daughter, ScarletteMcClendon; and a sister, Susie Lee Berry.

Survivors are her husband, Otis Lee “Sonny” Blades ofBrookhaven; sons, Marshall Kenneth McClendon of Lexington, Ken.,and Ronald “Ronnie” Owen of Brookhaven; daughters, Joyce Cuevas ofWesson, Elaine “Lani” Britt of Summit, Connie Ashmore ofBrookhaven, Debbie Sue Albritton of Summit and Rebecca JeanMcClendon of New Orleans; brothers, Luther Lambert of OklahomaCity, Okla., and James Lambert of Natchez; sister, Willie Lee Smithof Natchez; 22 grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
