BA teams play Wednesday

CLINTON – The Brookhaven Academy Cougars and Lady Cougars willplay Wednesday night in the second round of the MPSA State OverallTournament at Mississippi College. Brookhaven Academy captured thegirls and boys State AA titles last Saturday night and receivedfirst-round byes.

The Brookhaven Academy girls, coached by Barry Gray, plays at 7p.m. against the winner of the Jackson Prep – Kemper game fromTuesday night. The Lady Cougars stand 38-1 on the season.

The Lady Cougars whipped the Leake girls 64-39 last Saturday forthe AA title.

The Brookhaven Academy boys, coached by Dale Watts, play at 8:30against the winner of Tuesday night’s matchup betweenHillcrest-Christian-Lee, Ark. The Cougars are 31-1 on theseason.

The Cougars trounced the Leake boys 92-61 last Saturday.
