Services for Pearline Barfoot of Natchez are 10 a.m. Monday,March 3, at Washington Baptist Church with burial in DamascusBaptist Church Cemetery.

Visitation is Sunday, March 2, from 4:30 to 7 p.m. and Monday,March 3, from 9 a.m. until service time at the church.

Mrs. Barfoot, 78, died Feb. 28, 2003, at Adams County NursingCenter. She was born in Brookhaven on Aug. 2, 1924, to the lateJessie L. and Ethel Smith.

She was a member of Washington Baptist Church, where she servedin the WMU and the Ladies #4 Sunday School class.

Preceding her in death were her parents and a sister, ChristinePowell.

Survivors are her sons, Keith Barfoot of Monterey, La., andKenneth Barfoot of Natchez; daughters, Joy Arnold of Brookhaven,Janice Summit of Sheridan, Ark., and Missy Gilliat of Brookhaven;brothers, Paul Smith of Natchez and Gerald Smith of Mt. View, Ark.;sisters, Juanita Cotton of Natchez and Maxine Curtis of Virginia;14 grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.

Pallbearers are Steve Barfoot, Richard Freeman, Cory Mills, ChadBarfoot, Bryan Arnold, Jason Summit and Beau Barfoot.

Honorary pallbearers are members of the Brotherhood Men ofWashington Baptist Church.
