Services for Ty “Ty-Bug” McGehee of Summit are 3 p.m., Saturday,March 1, at Hartman Funeral Home Chapel in McComb with burial inWhittington Cemetery. Services will be conducted by Woody WolfeJr.

Visitation is today from 5-9 p.m., and Saturday from 10 a.m. – 3p.m., at the funeral home.

Ty-Bug, 1, died Feb. 26, 2003, at Children’s Hospital ofPhiladelphia, Pa. He was born in Philadelphia, Pa., on Oct. 1,2001, to Bill and Valarie McGehee.

Ty-Bug was a little miracle who touched a lot of people’s lives.Although here for a short time, he brought joy and laughter to hisfamily as well as the nurses and doctors who loved and cared forhim. He was brought here for a special reason and he served hispurpose here, to make our lives better. He definitely was a speciallittle soul and was the reason why we’re better people.

Preceding him in death were his great-grandparents, Tom FordMcGehee, Frank Ward, and Earline Jackson.

In addition to his parents, he is survived by his grandparents,Charles and Carolyn McGehee of Summit and Darryl and BeverlyHunkapillar of Brookhaven; his great-grandparents, Eunice McGeheeof McCall Creek, Ernestine Hunkapillar and Carl Hunkapillar, bothof Talihina, Okla., and Emmit and Mary Helen Gaddy of CrystalSprings; his brother, Jackson Reed McGehee of Summit; and a host ofaunts, uncles, other relatives and friends; and caregivers Dr.Sarah Tabbutt and Dr. Thomas Spray.

Pallbearers will be Rudy McGehee, Wade Jackson, Donnie Bryantand Greg Turnage.

Memorials may be made to the Cardiac Unit of Children’s Hospitalof Philadelphia and to Ronald McDonald House.
