Services for Mary Maude Barnes of Monticello are 11 a.m.,Thursday, March 6, at Wilson Funeral Home Chapel with burial inMonticello Municipal Cemetery.

Visitation is today from 5-8 p.m., at the funeral home.

Mrs. Barnes, 97, died March 4, 2003, at Lawrence CountyHospital. She was born in Monticello on May 14, 1905, to Joseph andMaude Allen Dale.

She was a homemaker. She was a member of Monticello BaptistChurch, where she was a past member of the Women’s Club and theWomen’s Missionary Union.

Preceding her in death were her parents; her husband, C.E. “Red”Barnes; and a grandson, David Barnes.

Survivors are her son and daughter-in-law, Dale and Gerry Barnesof Monticello; and one grandchild; and one great-grandchild.
