Gladis McCormick Estes Fender
Services for Gladis McCormick Estes Fender of Brookhaven are 2p.m., Saturday, March 29, at Brookhaven Funeral Home with burial inRosehill Cemetery.
Visitation is today from 5-8 p.m. at the funeral home.
Mrs. Fender, 86, died March 27, 2003, at her residence. She wasborn in Logansport, Texas, on July 2, 1916, to Jasper McCormick andGeorgia Bussey McCormick.
She was retired from J. C. Penney department store. She was amember of Jackson St. United Methodist Church. She was a member ofthe Eastern Star.
Preceding her in death were her parents; her husbands, Reo Estesand Ward Fender; her daughter, Doris Estes; her son, Jimmy Ray; andseven brothers and one sister.
Survivors are her sons and daughters-in-law, Don and ShirleyEstes of Brookhaven, Warren and Sandra Estes of Bay Springs, andReo and Dura Estes of Hempstead, Texas; her daughters andson-in-law, Juanita and Glynn James of Brookhaven and DorisHolloway of Cleveland, Texas; her brothers, Howard McCormick ofAlexandria, La., Dalton McCormick of Houston, Texas, and RandolphMcCormick of Sunset, La.; and 20 grandchildren, numerousgreat-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
Memorials may be made to Brookhaven Beautiful, King’s DaughtersFoundation, or a charity of choice.
James A. Fletcher
Services for James A. “Jim” Fletcher of Brandon were 11 a.m.,Friday, March 28, at Ott & Lee Funeral Home in Brandon withburial in Floral Hill Memory Gardens in Pearl.
Mr. Fletcher, 71, died March 26, 2003, at River OaksHospital.
He was retired from American Equipment. He was a member of theVFW, the Masonic Lodge, and was a Shriner. He was an Air Forceveteran of the Korean War. He was a member of Paul Truitt MemorialBaptist Church in Pearl.
Preceding him in death were his parents, Floyd and AnnieFletcher; and his sister, Flo Davis.
Survivors are his wife of 22 years, Ruenell Fletcher; hisdaughters, Jo Still of Pearl and Pattie Fletcher of Byram; his son,Mike Fletcher of Richland; his stepson, Gary M. Claypool of Bolton;his stepdaughter, Denita L. Claypool of Pearl; his sisters, FrancisWelborn of Brookhaven, Marie Welborn of Pearl and Dianne Burkes ofPearl; his brother, Dwight Fletcher of Flowood; and hisgrandchildren.

Robert Wayne “Robby” Waldrop
Services for Robert Wayne “Robby” Waldrop of Bogue Chitto are 2p.m., Saturday, March 29, at Church of God in Brookhaven withburial in Bethel Temple Cemetery.
Visitation is today beginning at 3 p.m. at Community FuneralServices.
Mr. Waldrop, 35, died March 26, 2003. He was born in Wesson onDec. 19, 1967, to Maudie Marie Bailey and James Waldrop.
He was a painter with A & Z Painting.
Preceding him in death were his parents.
Survivors are his sons, Jacob Wayne Waldrop and Michael Waldrop,both of Brookhaven; his daughter, Destiny Marie of Brookhaven; andhis brothers, Terry, Donald, Jimmy and Bruce Waldrop, all of BogueChitto.
