Services for Betty Lu Church of Jayess are 10 a.m., Tuesday,April 1, at Wilson Funeral Home Chapel with burial in PleasantGrove United Methodist Church Cemetery.

Visitation is today from 6-8 p.m. at the funeral home.

Mrs. Church, 78, died March 29, 2003, at Lawrence CountyHospital. She was born in Peoria, Ill., on Nov. 5, 1924, to Earland Emma Lu Cox Rutledge. She moved to Lawrence County 25 years agofrom Troy, Ala.

She was a homemaker. She was a member of Pleasant Grove UnitedMethodist Church.

Preceding her in death were her parents; her husband, Robert E.Church; her son, Timothy E. Penne Kamp; and her brother, RobertRutledge.

Survivors are her daughters, Julie Berry of Kenner, La., KathyP. Tanner of Mannford, Okla., and Paula B. Sheets of Gainesville,Fla.; and seven grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.

Graveside services for Xandreia J. Watkins of Brookhaven are 2p.m., Monday, March 31, at Carver Heights Cemetery. Tyler FuneralHome is in charge of arrangements.

The infant died March 29, 2003, at King’s Daughters MedicalCenter. She was born in Brookhaven on Feb. 15, 2003, to DenontaThadison and Clydanastria Watkins.

In addition to her parents, she is survived by her maternalgrandparents, Philippia Jefferson and Walter Jefferson; herpaternal grandparents, Roosevelt and Christine Price; her aunts,Pamela Thadison and Ebone’ Jefferson; her uncles, Deryea’ May andCurtis Thadison; her maternal great-grandmother, Dorothy “Doll”Watkins; and her great-great-great aunt, Elsie Allen.
