Services for Karen Elizabeth King Myers of Bogue Chitto are 3p.m., Sunday, April 13, 2003, at Union Primitive Baptist Church inRuth with burial in Antioch Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery inLincoln County.

Visitation was Saturday from 4-9 p.m., and Sunday from 10 a.m.to 12:30 p.m. at Brookhaven Funeral Home. Visitation will also beheld from 2-3 p.m. at Union Primitive Baptist Church.

Mrs. Myers, 35, died April 10, 2003, at Ochsner ClinicFoundation in New Orleans, La. She was born in Magee on March 15,1968, to Doyle King and Barbara Bynum Walton.

She was a kindergarten teacher at Bogue Chitto Attendance Centerfor over 12 years. She was a 1985 graduate of Bogue ChittoAttendance Center. She graduated in 1990 from the University ofSouthern Mississippi with a B.S. in education. In 1997, she earneda master’s in education from William Carey College. She was amember of Kappa Kappa Iota.

She was a member of Antioch Primitive Baptist Church.

Preceding her in death were her grandparents, Roscoe andChristine King, and Roy Lee Bynum, and Jimmie Sue Hartwig.

In addition to her parents, survivors are her husband, MickeyMyers; her son, Braden Myers; her daughters, Blaine Myers andBrooke Myers, all of Bogue Chitto; her stepmother, Lisa King ofMendenhall; her stepfather, Ken Walton of Edwards; her brother,James Doyle King of Mendenhall; her sisters and brother-in-law,Vicki and Rick Bailey of Pearl, and Connie Shotts of Braxton; herfather-in-law and mother-in-law, Wayne and Sharon Myers ofBrookhaven; her brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Hugh and DebbieSmith, Nancy and Jeff Butler, and Ricky and Paula Myers, all ofBrookhaven; her maternal grandmother, Rayphord Bynum of Magee; herstepbrother, Wade Walton of Jackson; her stepsister, Michelle Langof Brandon; and her nieces and nephews, Matthew and Bryan Mitchell,Casey Bailey, Kellie Shotts, Marley Myers, Reagan Myers and LaynaMyers.
