Services for Tommie Daggons of New Orleans, La., formerly ofMonticello, are 2:30 p.m., Monday, April 14, 2003, at FriendshipM.B. Church with burial in the church cemetery.

Visitation is Monday, April 14, from 12-2:30 p.m. at FriendshipM.B. Church.

Mr. Daggons, 78, died April 7, 2003, at Memorial Medical Centerin New Orleans. He was born in Monticello to Avrey Daggons andBertha Daggons.

He was a retired longshoreman. He was a veteran of the U.S.Army.

Preceding him in death were his parents.

Survivors are his wife, Ruby Daggons of New Orleans; his sons,Andrew Daggons, Willie Ray Daggons, Fred Daggons, Thomas Daggons,David Daggons, James Earl Daggons, and Marvin Woodie, all of NewOrleans, and Edward Grandberry of Monticello; his daughter, LizzieLee White of New Orleans; his brothers, Emmitt Daggons ofFlagstaff, Ariz.; and his sister, Bertha Horne of Chicago, Ill.,and Claudia Brown of Monticello; and many grandchildren andgreat-grandchildren.
