Services for Hobson Eugene Rutland Sr. of Ruth are 2 p.m.,Wednesday, April 23, at Providence Baptist Church with burial inTilton Methodist Cemetery.

Visitation is today beginning at 5:30 p.m., at Colonial FuneralHome of Columbia.

Mr. Rutland, 68, died April 21, 2003, at his residence.

He was a retired oil field worker. He was a member of ProvidenceBaptist Church. He served in the Army.

Preceding him in death were his parents, Ham H. Rutland andLoubirta Givens Rutland.

Survivors are his wife, Elizabeth Foster Rutland; his sons,Rusty Rutland of Laurel, and Todd F. Rutland of Ruth; his sister,Rose Mary Ray of Brandon; his brothers, Billy Joe Rutland of Ruth,and Gordon Rutland of Jayess; and three grandchildren.
