Graveside services for Nellie Melville Kitchens of Vicksburg are2 p.m., today in Rosehill Cemetery. Riles Funeral Home of Vicksburgis in charge of arrangements.

Mrs. Kitchens, 98, died May 4, 2003, at Vicksburg ConvalescentHome. She was born in Brookhaven on June 25, 1904, to Charles andAnnie Jordan Melville.

She was a member of Calvary Baptist Church of Jackson. She was aformer resident of Birmingham, Ala., and Jackson.

Preceding her in death were her parents; and her husband, JosephAndrew Kitchens.

Survivors are her daughter, Faye M. Gaines of Vicksburg; and hergrandchildren, Robert M. Gaines of Jackson, Kathryn E. Gaines ofChicago, Ill., and W. Jeffrey Gaines of Biloxi; and numerous niecesand nephews.
