Services for Annie Mae Davis Gunnell of Ruth are 4 p.m.,Saturday, May 17, at Providence Baptist Church in Lawrence Countywith burial in the church cemetery.

Visitation is today from 5-10 p.m., at Brookhaven Funeral Home,and on Saturday, from 3 p.m. until the time of service at thechurch.

Mrs. Gunnell, 75, died May 15, 2003, at Beverly Healthcare. Shewas born in Lincoln County on Aug. 28, 1927, to Marvin Davis andEula Mae Walker Davis.

She was a homemaker. She was a member of Ruth BaptistChurch.

Preceding her in death were her parents; her husband, Carlos S.”Jack” Gunnell; and her sister, Oni Faye Smith.

Survivors are her sons, Michael Gunnell of Ruth, and DouglasGunnell and Carlos Gunnell Jr., both of Brookhaven; her daughterand son-in-law, Betty and Kerry Justice of Brookhaven; herbrothers, J.M. Davis, James Earl Davis, Alcus Davis, Billy GeneDavis, Richard Davis, and Ray Davis, all of Ruth; and fourstepchildren and six grandchildren.
