Services for Howard Hollis Cox of Brookhaven are 3 p.m.,Tuesday, May 20, at Harrigill Funeral Home Chapel with burial inNew Zion Cemetery in Lawrence County.

Visitation is today from 4-9 p.m., at the funeral home.

Mr. Cox, 88, died May 17, 2003, at his residence. He was born inMonticello on Nov. 21, 1914, to Tommy Cox and Bettie Carr Cox.

He was a logger and a heavy equipment operator in the oil fieldand on pipelines. He was a member of the Baptist faith.

Preceding him in death were his parents.

Survivors are his wife, Lucy Elizabeth Drumright Cox ofBrookhaven; his daughters, Barbara Carrillo of Tucson, Ariz., andBettie Gregory of Lemoore, Calif.; his brothers, James Drumright ofOcean Springs and Tommy Cox of Brookhaven; his sister, Dorothy Hillof Brookhaven; and five grandchildren and eightgreat-grandchildren.
