Southern District Transportation Commissioner Wayne Brown was inthe county Thursday to promote the 14th Annual Trash Bash. While wecommend MDOT employees and others who picked up litter alongLincoln County highways, we wish this is one event that would neverhappen again.

“MDOT is forced to spend well over $2 million per year inremoving litter from Mississippi highways. We could easily spendthree times that much out there.”
