Services for Mary Markham Sorrells Savoie of Brookhaven are 11a.m., Saturday, May 31, at Center Street Church of Christ withburial in Hillcrest Cemetery.
Visitation is Friday from noon – 5 p.m., at WilliamsMortuary.
Mrs. Savoie, 59, died May 26, 2003, at King’s Daughters MedicalCenter. She was born in Lincoln County on Dec. 17, 1943, to CharlieWashington and Beatrice Markham Wilson.
She was a paralegal. She was a member of Center Street Church ofChrist. She was a 1962 graduate of Alexander High School.
Preceding her in death were her parents; her husband, JefferySavoie; her half-brothers, Eugene Washington, Booker T. Washington,George Washington, Charlie Washington Jr., and Frank Robinson; anda half-sister, Betty McKenzie.
Survivors are her son, Juhn Pierre Richardson of Brookhaven; herhalf-sisters, Laurasteen Washington and Marie Pendelton, both ofWesson; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and other relativesand friends.
