Services for John Lawrence Watson of McCall Creek are 10 a.m.,today at Franklin Funeral Home Chapel in Meadville with gravesideservices at 2 p.m., today in Green Acres Cemetery in Vicksburg.
Visitation is today from 1-2 p.m., at Gleenwood Funeral Home inVicksburg.
Mr. Watson, 70, died June 1, 2003, at Baptist Medical Center inJackson. He was born in Sicily Island, La., on April 8, 1933, toJohn Martin Watson and Lenelle Tarver Watson.
He was a safety consultant. He was a member of Bude UnitedMethodist Church. He was an army veteran of the Korean War. He wasmaster of the Ben Franklin Masonic Lodge in Meadville. He was anavid hunter and fisherman. He traveled extensively, visiting 22foreign countries and 47 American states.
Preceding him in death were his parents.
Survivors are his wife, Nancy E. Watson of McCall Creek; hissons, Michael Watson of Slidell, La., and David Watson of BatonRouge, La.; his stepson, David Sullivan of Gulfport; hisstepdaughter, Rachel Sullivan Brumfield of Greenwood; his brother,Royce Watson of Slidell; his sister, Dottie Roberts of McCallCreek; and four grandchildren.
