Helen Elizabeth Ables Gregory

Services for Helen Elizabeth Ables Gregory of Brookhaven,formerly of Canton, are 10:30 a.m. Monday, June 9, at BreelandFuneral Home Chapel in Canton with burial in the CantonCemetery.

Visitation is Sunday, June 8, from 5-7 p.m. and Monday, June 9,from 9 a.m. until service time at the funeral home.

Mrs. Gregory, 74, died June 6, 2003, at St. Dominic JacksonMemorial Hospital. She was born in Attala County on July 16, 1928,to the late John Henderson Ables and Bessie Burrell Ables.

She was retired from the U.S. Department of Agriculture’sFarmers Home Administration. Mrs. Gregory was a member of FirstUnited Methodist Church of Canton. She was a graduate of HolmesAgriculture High School and Holmes Junior College. She was a memberof the Order of the Eastern Star, Canton Garden Club and theMadison County Historical Society. Mrs. Gregory was also an avidbridge player.

Preceding her in death were her parents and husband, Lt. Col.Rawley Molch Gregory Sr.

Survivors are her three children, Dr. Paula Gregory and herhusband Dr. Bruce Bunnell of Mandeville, La., Rawley Molch “Greg”Gregory Jr. and wife Kathy Gregory of Canton, and Suzanne GregoryBritt and her husband Dr. Robert Brien Britt of Brookhaven;brothers, Ellis Ables of Goodman and Doyle Ables of Ft. Payne,Ala.; sister, Bobbie Duncan of Canton; six grandchildren, Megan andEmma Bunnell of Mandeville, La., Eric and Will Gregory of Cantonand Kelsey and Ryanne Britt of Brookhaven.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Sencasha UnitedMethodist Church Cemetery Fund, P.O. Box 335, Goodman, MS39079.

Jewell Mullins

Services for Jewell Mullins of Jayess are 2 p.m. Monday, June 9,at Wilson Funeral Home Chapel with burial in Sauls ValleyCemetery.

Visitation is Sunday, June 8, from 5-9 p.m. at the funeralhome.

Mr. Mullins, 78, died June 7, 2003, at Haven Hall Nursing Home.He was born on Oct. 16, 1924, to the late Wallace Edward and EttieMae Neathland Mullins.

He was a carpenter and painter. He was a member of Sauls ValleyBaptist Church.

Preceding him in death were his parents; wife, Mary MaudeMullins; brothers, Albon Mullins and James Mullins; and sisters,Elizabeth McAnally and Margie King.

Survivors are his brothers, Wess Mullins of Monticello, RayMullins of Columbia and Claude King of Jayess; and a sister, MariePreston of Houston, Texas.
