Services for Douglas Clyde Babb of Summit are 3 p.m., Wednesday,June 11, at Brookhaven Funeral Home Chapel with burial in Gum GroveBaptist Church Cemetery.
Visitation is today from 4-10 p.m., at the funeral home.
Mr. Babb, 42, died June 8, 2003, in Flowood. He was born on Dec.8, 1960, to Marvin T.L. Babb Sr., and Willie Mae Babb.
He was a boilermaker MTL.
Survivors are his parents; his wife, Shelia Babb of Summit; hisdaughter, Shelly Babb of Brookhaven; and his siblings, DebbieCarpenter of Gonzales, La., Johnny Babb and Adrian Babb, both ofLena, David McKlemurry, Peggy Lewis and Randy McKlemurry, all ofBogue Chitto, Wilda Martin of Smithdale, Michael McKlemurry ofBrookhaven, Rosemary Morse of Sulphur, Mitchell Babb of Birmingham,Ala., and Marvin T.L. Babb Jr.

Graveside services for Johnny L. Bates of Brookhaven are 10a.m., today in Union Baptist Church Cemetery. Community FuneralServices is in charge of arrangements.
Mr. Bates, 81, died June 8, 2003, at his residence. He was bornin Bogue Chitto on June 19, 1922, to John Bates and Bellulah McKayBates.
He was a retired mechanic. He was a World War II veteran.
Preceding him in death were his parents.
Survivors are his daughter, Linda Perque of Belchase, La.

Mrs. Green, 32, died June 5, 2003, at St. Dominic’s Hospital inJackson. She was born in Jackson on Sept. 22, 1970, to George”Hopper” Washington and Sarah Jane Washington.
She was a homemaker. She was a member of Macedonia MissionaryBaptist Church.
Preceding her in death were her parents; a brother, Luther RayWashington; two infant children, Tyrone Washington and JasmineGreen; and two nephews, Tony Pendleton and Johnathan Pugh.
Survivors are her husband, James I. Green of Brookhaven; herdaughter, Myeisha B. Green of Brookhaven; her sisters, Bobby T.Washington and Bobby J. Pendleton, both of Jackson, and GeorgiaWashington, Lula B. Washington, Regina Scarborough and KatherineWilliams, all of Brookhaven; her brothers, Albert J. Pendleton andBobby C. Jackson, both of Brookhaven, George E. Washington andAlvin “Little Hopper” Stewart, both of Chicago, Ill., Perry Cameronof Houston, Texas, Howard C. Johnson and Willie E. Cremation services for Jennings Gifford Smith of Brookhaven willbe held at Riverwood Memorial Park with burial following there.Brookhaven Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
Mr. Smith, 78, died June 9, 2003, at King’s Daughters MedicalCenter. He was born in Lincoln County on Nov. 21, 1924, to Edgar J.Smith and Mary Case Smith.
He was a retired geophysicist. He was a meteorologist in WorldWar II.
Preceding him in death were his parents; and his wife, NitaSmith.
Survivors are his son, David A. Smith of Brookhaven; hisdaughter, Victoria Anne Smith of Albuquerque, N.M.; his sisters,Donis Walker of Walker, La., and Geraldine Smith of Brookhaven.

Mr. Weaver, 85, died June 8, 2003, at Beverly Southwest NursingHome in McComb. He was born in D’Lo on Jan. 6, 1918, to James CarlWeaver Sr., and Sarah Josephine Pollock Weaver.
He was a retired lieutenant with the Jackson Police Department,and was Gatekeeper of the Mississippi House of Representatives for16 years. He was a member of Pleasant Hill Baptist Church. He was aWorld War II veteran. He was a mason and a shriner. He was a memberof the Order of the Eastern Star and Magnolia Holiday RamblersClub.
Preceding him in death were his parents; his first wife, WaulineShoemaker Weaver; his sons, Kenny Weaver and Larry Weaver; and twobrothers, James Weaver and F.L. “Skeeter” Weaver.
Survivors are his wife, Joyce McGraw Weaver of Bogue Chitto; hisdaughter-in-law, Jeanne Weaver of Signal Mountain, Tenn.; hisstep-daughter, Lea Wilson of Bogue Chitto; his step-sons, MarkPrice and Norman Price, both of Brandon; his step-brothers, HulonMcPhail and Bill McPhail, both of D’Lo; his sister-in-law, MyrtleWeaver of Wetumpka, Ala.; his grandsons, Ken Weaver and DerrickWeaver, both of Chattanooga, Tenn.; his granddaughters, BrandiBozeman of Birmingham, Ala., and Lisa Amarino of Federal Way,Wash.; four great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces andnephews.
