Services for Missie Brown of Hazlehurst are 11 a.m., Tuesday,June 17, at Pleasant Grove Baptist Church in Martinsville withburial in the church cemetery.

Visitation is today from 1-5 p.m., at Tyler Funeral Home, andTuesday from 10-11 a.m., at the church.

Mrs. Brown, 86, died June 13, 2003, at King’s Daughters MedicalCenter. She was born in Copiah County on Jan. 7, 1917, to LigeBarner and Annie Barner.

She was a homemaker. She served as president of the usher boardat Pleasant Grove Baptist Church, where she was also assistantsecretary and a member of the missionary society.

Preceding her in death were her parents; her husband, RobertBrown; a son, Leverne; her brothers, Orange, Robert, Leonus andDewitt; and her sisters, Ella Brown, Pearl Webb and DorisBarner.

Survivors are her sons, Willie Brown of Hazlehurst, and MelvinBrown of Jackson; and two grandchildren.
